Valerie of Gumbo City Tours made my New Orleans visit fun and memorable. I was looking for a guide who would like to work with me and give me a personalized tour. Valerie designed a special tour tailored to my interests. I had so much fun! I wanted to hear French Quarter stories, admire Creole architecture and of course indulge in New Orleans food and jazz. I also wanted to find the restaurant were me and the love of my life had dinner decades ago. I did not remember the name of the restaurant but when I described the interior to Valerie, she figured it out and we had a delicious drink there later. I had a fabulous time in New Orleans. Thank you, Valerie, for making my stay memorable!

An Excellent Food Tour – Thanks Val!

My wife and I recently took a New Orleans food tour with Val and had a BLAST!
Val has an incredible knowledge of New Orleans history and the info she provides will help you understand how the modern day operates even with some very old rules.
She took us to some old, established restaurants as well as a new place that is locally owned and had amazing char-grilled oysters.
